At Potential Paediatrics, we're passionate about providing therapy that makes a meaningful difference, not only for children, but for their families too.

We are a growing paediatric occupational therapy practice with a well-resourced sensory integration clinic in Klemzig. Our clinic includes a wide range of therapeutic resources, including foam pits, a ball pit, a fully functional kitchen to develop activities of daily living, a zipline and a variety of sensory swings. The clinic has been thoughtfully designed to provide an engaging and motivating environment where children can develop sensory processing, motor skills, emotional regulation and functional life skills through purposeful, evidence-informed therapy. As our practice continues to grow, we're looking for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist with at least one year of paediatric experience to join our supportive and collaborative team.

Whether you're interested in sensory integration, emotional regulation, motor development, early intervention, school-aged therapy, assessment or working closely with families, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and shape your role as our practice continues to grow.

The opportunity

 As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Potential Paediatrics, you'll work with children from infancy through to adolescence across a range of developmental presentations.

You'll provide assessment, intervention and family support to help children participate more successfully at home, school and in the community. Your work will primarily be clinic-based, with school and home visits as required.

You'll work alongside families, educators and other health professionals and have the opportunity to contribute to clinical discussions and develop your own areas of professional interest.

You may be a good fit if you:

• Have a genuine passion for helping children reach their potential

• Have at least one year of experience working in paediatrics

• Experience working in a sensory integration environment is beneficial but not essential.

• Value family-centred. evidence-based, neurodiversity-affirming practice

• Enjoy building genuine relationships with children and families

• Demonstrate strong clinical reasoning and communication skills

• Enjoy working collaboratively and contributing to a positive team culture

• Are motivated to continue learning and growing professionally

• Are interested in developing your own areas of clinical practice

• Want to contribute to the continued growth of a developing paediatric practice

• Have current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist

• Have a full Australian driver's licence

• Current RRHAN-EC, DHS Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Current First Aid and CPR certification

As an OT at Potential Paediatrics, you will:

• Build meaningful connections with children and their families

• In collaboration with children and their families, develop personalised goals.

• Run therapy sessions that are engaging, evidence-informed and neurodiversity-affirming. 

• Complete occupational therapy assessments and documentation

• Work collaboratively with educators and other health professionals

• Participate in regular supervision, meetings and clinical discussions

• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice
